The Rise of the Rest: Global Majority Leadership in a New Philanthropic Era
With Naila Farouky from Executive Director of the Arab Foundations Forum

We are all feeling the this moment deeply. The attacks on our work and what we care about affect us personally and at all levels. How do we not fall into doom and paralysis?
As things fall apart, this moment grant us an opportunity to build something radically new. So, what questions do we need to ask ourselves to do so? How do we exemplify solidarity & love as we build towards it?
In this conversation, Naila Faourky shares her experience in growing and making the Arab Philanthripic Forum a more inclusive network. How financial support and governance approaches were reimagined to increase their funds and have people feel more invested.
She also speaks about the differences she's found between western philanthropy and arab philanthropy and highlights the disparities of who and what gets funded, once again revealing how the current philanthropic system is not one built in care and solidarity.
