Manifesto

We will dream our feminist futures.

No one can take the power of dreaming away from us.

We will dream of our healing, our connection, and our freedom. We will come together, and breathe, and rest, and move, and dance, and laugh loudly, and connect with nature, and make art, and tell stories, and listen deeply, and make space, and unlearn, and relearn, and experiment, and play, and share, and transform.

We will dream old and new dreams. Both to remember the unfinished dreams we inherit — built on practices of resistance, political imagination, and hard-won victories from those who came before us — and to imagine the world we know is possible.

We will dream of a living Earth regenerating, with green everywhere, with birdsongs, and thriving more-than-human siblings. We will dream of clean air, fresh water, and quality food for all. Of feeling safe and healthy in our bodies, our homes, and in public. Of having those we love close by.

We will dream of diverse, multigenerational circles of neighbours, sharing power, and learning together how to become better ancestors for those yet to be born. Of communities grounded in interdependence and collective care, where we all are responsible for holding and supporting every child to fully develop and express who they are.

We will dream feminist futures and desire them so much that they will resonate in every cell of our bodies, in every thought, in every word, in every decision, right now.

Before planning, before strategising, before implementing, we will dream — abundantly.

Because when we dream, we are already there, in our feminist futures. We feel them in our bones, flesh, blood, hearts, minds, and spirits. We recognise what we have always known to be the deeper truth about our collective existence. And we touch the unknown, the mysterious, the realm of infinite possibilities.

We will dream because we refuse to only react. For far too long, we have been kept firefighting while others imagined and built the world we are now forced to live inside.
